epic weekend in ST.PAUL

So while all kinds of people flocked to SDCC, I stayed at home in st.paul and celebrated my second wedding anniversary with my lovely wife. We did all kinds of stuff like went to a stuffy upscale snooty restaurant, went horseback riding (this was pretty epic and gave me reinvigorated hopes to being a cowboy when I grow up), had a picnic, worked on our garden, got some sunburn (jamie, not me), caught a flick, and exchanged gifts. Jamie really kicked my ass on the gift giving. I gave her this crappy thing and she got me two antique maps of our neighborhood dating back to 1884, and 1938. I've been wanting one for a long time and now that I have two of them I can't stop studying them. The changes to the neighborhood over the years have been fascinating. Thanks Jamie, you are certainly the most kickass wife ever.

  2. Wow, horseback riding and everything! Damn, that's classy...

Alison and I had the two-year anniversary as well on July 5th, but with all the baby business to attend to, all we really had time for was to exchange friendly handshakes before getting back to scraping the poop off a Onesie.

  3. Hey anniversary buddy. How dare I forget about your big day too. Shame on me. I'm going to make myself go horseback riding again as punishment.

  5. Ric, I don't mean to correct you but you have met my lovely wife. It was several years ago we ran into you at trader joe's in the wine area. I was all like "yo ric! this is my lovely wife who I am not married to yet but I like her a lot and I think I'm going to ask her to marry me. OH SNAP! ITS SPIDERMAN!" And then spiderman bought a couple bottles of that three buck chuck and he casually walked out the door. That's how I remember it happening.

So in conclusion I suppose you have not met my lovely wife, but you have met the lovely girl who became my lovely wife.

  6. Shit, I remember Spider Man...but you two were a total blank.

Also, just to clarify, Spiderman doesn't buy Three Buck Chuck. He actually drops $16.99 a bottle on Chateau Ste Michelle Pinot Gris. We stopped carrying that awhile ago and I haven't seen him since.
