Sketch Dump
Last week being Thanksgiving and all it was a little busy with the not traveling that happened. But we did make a kick ass turkey, stuffing, the best damn gravy this world has ever seen, green beans, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce... you get the idea. It was a very traditional meal. Anyways, here are some pictures from last week.

Humane Society
So Jamie and I went to the Humane Society on Sunday morning. We got there shortly before opening and found two cardboard boxes in front of the door. The boxes were taped shut with air holes punched in the top and the sides and a note attached as follows:
2 Cats, 2 years
no nuts.
NO JOKE.
Surprisingly one of the cats had already managed to tear its way out of the tiny cardboard box and was hiding behind a nearby garbage can. The other one was attempting to wriggle free through a small air hole. Jamie scooped up the cat behind the garbage and some other people who were waiting along side us grabbed the other cat who was trying to come out of the box. While the event itself was a sad, as in "who the hell who leave cats out taped up in boxes on the doorstep when its free to go in and surrender them?", I couldn't help but think "HOLY SHIT THIS IS THE BEST NOTE I'VE EVER SEEN!"

Sydney
Sydney, November 27th, 2003 - November 14th, 2009
Sydney was a loving puppy who enjoyed cuddling and licking people's faces. On rare occasions you might even have found him singing or reciting poetry in the form of barks or his famous little woofy howls. He loved to be outside even when contained to his red wagon. He was an avid supporter of the dogs chasing cats movement and spoke very highly of his family and friends. We will love him and miss always.

DOG THURSADAY...what? its friday?
So on top of everything I got a new machine and stupid ass canon didn't make drivers for the Lite30 to support newer OS's. Their website claims the driver was updated 7/29/2009 but unfortunately they are dirt filthy liars. The date on the driver when you open it is 2002. Supposedly you can get the scanner to work if you run photoshop in Rosetta however I find that when this happens it tells me the driver is missing. Thats right, even though I copied the canon plugin into the plugins folder it tells me that the driver is corrupt. So in conclusion; Fuck Cannon and I'm sorry I didn't update this in time for Dog Thursday.
As a side note, this probably won't make sense if you don't watch Dog, Wednesday nights on A&E. Television's home for arts and entertainment.

Climbers
So I know I said no paid work only doodles, but here is some rough concept work I did a while back for this animation. It ended up looking cool. Plus I had to upload something old. I
've been way too busy with freelance/work/being sick/sick puppy/family in town/getting a newwashing machine/using my new compound miter saw to cut baseboards and chair rails/raking the ten billion leaves in my yard/revisiting old projects/putting together cheap ikea furniture to have the time to doodle something fun.

Mama Markie
So last night I woke up in a sweat after I had a strange dream. I won't bore you with the details but just hit you with the gist of it: I was hanging out with my buddy Jon and his roomate, (in the dream), Biz Markie. They lived in an apartment with Biz Markie's mother who looked just like Biz Markie but with a wig and a dress on. As a snack she served us Rootbeer floats with garlic bread floating in them. It was a weird dream. And here's this illustration I made of it.
