I think I would make a pretty good addition to the X-men. Clearly if I had a mutant ability, which apparently I do, it would be to predict silly useless trends or one off jokes in future media. I was shocked when I drew my zombie captain america and then about a year later marvel released their marvel zombies line. Then I was even more shocked when I did my Thorilla illustration and marvel released Marvel Apes. At first I thought, "wow, I should be working for marvel." But most recently someone shared with me a few screenshots from the new family guy movie in which there is a scene depicting Dog the Bounty Hunter amongst the ranks of the Empire goons. Now I have come to the realization that I do in fact have a mutant power and it would be wrong of me to use my new found gifts for personal gain or greed.
Am I saying they stole my ideas? Of course not. All these things were in production well before I drew my little doodles. Also, they are pretty simple stupid ideas that anyone could come up with, and I'm sure many have come up with. I think this is more proof of a collective unconscious than anything else.
And lastly, if anyone wants to pay me lots of money for silly ideas I am open for bids.
